The Women’s World Cup Beer Festival

DESERTER LAUNCH PARTY

Sunday June 9th, 12pm-12am

Dulwich Hamlet Football Club

It is with great pleasure, pride and a terrible thirst that we announce our very first beer festival, celebrating the Women’s World Cup by bringing together the brewing might of South London under one roof.

The Clubhouse at Dulwich Hamlet will be pouring locally-produced beers for the entire month of the World Cup – delicious craft ale, curated by Deserter, but brewed by people who actually know what they’re doing.

Our World Cup squad includes: The Kernel, Brew By Numbers, Brick, Canopy, Mothership, Gipsy Hill, Brockley, Villages, London Beer Factory, Southey, Orbit, Spartan, Affinity and more. Plus Hawkes Cidery will provide fruit booze.

Southey have brewed a Deserter Summer Session IPA especially for the festival, with Amarillo and Mosaic hops, an English ale yeast and a blend of German and English pale malts. The new beer will be named by Deserter readers as we’re truly lazy.

The official Launch Party will be on Sunday 9th June and will feature fine ales, tasty eats and England v Scotland from Nice at 5pm. (England’s men might make an appearance at 7.45pm, too, if they qualify for the Nations Cup Final.) DJs will escort us to the end of a blinding day of beer and football. Entry is free.
